Browser-local processing
Conversion and document text extraction run primarily in your current browser. Input text, file content, and results are not sent to a JianFan.app backend for processing. Custom dictionary entries also stay in the browser.
Technology and limits
Chinese and Japanese kanji conversion is powered by OpenCC. Automated glyph conversion is not translation or professional editing; names, places, legal text, and publication copy should be checked against authoritative sources.
Content maintenance
We update page explanations, privacy information, and tool guidance when functionality or data handling changes and when user feedback identifies a useful correction.
